This summer intensive is a camp for kids to have fun, learn theatre skills, and put together a musical production. With the help of guest teachers, master classes, and work in choreography, vocal technique and performance, and improvisation, students learn to overcome their "stage fright" and work as a group to tell a story through a theatrical piece. Delving more deeply into ideas mentioned during the fall and spring musical theatre classes, students gain confidence in themselves, their abilities as performers, and their social assurance with peers. Tween Summer Musical Theatre $TBA Open to students entering grades 5 through 7. Summer Premier of the Tween Program! Currently in the beginning of it's third season, the Tween Program was originally created in order to bridge the theatrical experience for students in the LVP classes into the Workshop rehearsal process. The Tween Program offers a professional rehearsal process for young actors from 5th-7th grades, (with some invited 4th graders). We believe that this program allows young actors to step from the classroom experience into the theatrical ring, where they can take on the challenges of rehearsing an arc show--building character, learning choreography and music, playing intentions, and creating truthful emotions, without the rigors of longer rehearsal hours or the pressure of learning a two-act show. This summer version will allow these young actors to work at their own experience and age levels, while still reaping the benefits of the fun-filled, imaginative world of LVP Summer Camp. SUMMER 2010 SCHEDULE: Summer schedule will be posted in early 2011. To register for either one of these programs, please fill out the online registration form. Make sure you put the appropriate class (camp) name on the form. Mail a tuition check to LVP at your earliest convenience. (Note: The workshop may run three days a week for the first 4 weeks. Exact schedule will be emailed prior to the first rehearsal.
