Little Theatre focuses on kids in Kindergarten and First Grade. The program celebrates their incredible imaginations through artistic play, music, dance, and acting exercises. The program culminates in a final open class presentation where the actors can show off all their new theatrical skills!

Young Actors Class
Grades 2 - 4 Wednesdays 4:30PM - 5:30PMTuition: $425.00
The Young Actors Class incorporates theatre games and exercises that teach cues, commitment, teamwork, and acting technique. With the classroom as a safe haven, students learn to express themselves on stage with confidence. This class culminates in a final open class for family and friends, which includes a presentation of scenes, song and dance!

Young Actors Performance Workshop
Grades 2 - 4 Thursdays 5:00PM - 6:30PMTuition: $525.00
Our Young Actors Workshop combines fun and the fundamentals of acting to put together a musical theatre production. Theatre games and acting exercises build technique and confidence while the actors rehearse and then perform a final show!

Tween Workshop Grades 5 - 7, Either Mondays or Wednesdays 3:30PM - 5:30 PM
Tuition: $695.00
Tween actors will experience a professional rehearsal process, coupled with theatre games and acting exercises designed to fit their learning levels. The tweens will dive deeper into their work as actors as they endeavor to gain confidence and knowledge about all aspects of theatre and performance.
By audition only. Please prepare a 1 minute song and a 1 minute monologue. Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 26th from 12:00PM - 4:00PM.

Tuition: $765.00
A conservatory program, the Teen Intensive will consist of professional training from actors and directors with extensive experience in the business. Rehearsals will include technique in acting, musical theatre, singing, dance, and improv. This Intensive will culminate in a full-length play or musical theatre production.

Acting Technique through Monologues and Scene Work
Delve into the Craft of Acting!
Students learn the basic skills of acting technique such as creating truthful emotions, playing intentions, vocal projection, stage directions and more. These skills are then applied to Monologue and Scene work.

Musical Theatre Dance & Choreography Technique
Dance your way to Broadway!
This class will take you through Broadway dance history! From Gershwin to Sondheim, Fosse to Stroman. Learn the styles and the classic dances of Broadway legend.

Dramatic Play Time for you and your child!

SummerStage 2013 will be comprised of four groups, Little Theatre (K-1st Graders) the Young Actors Camp (2nd-4th graders), Tween Workshop (5th-7th graders), and the Teen Intensive (8th-12th graders). All groups will meet Mondays through Fridays from 9am-4pm except for Little Theatre which will meet from 9am-1pm, Monday through Thursday. All will be structured with classes in Acting Technique, Choreography, Improv, Stage Combat, Music and Vocal Technique. The skills learned in these classes will be incorporated into the creation of musical theatre shows that will be performed at the culmination of each respective section. The groups will have rehearsal time for their shows built into their days at Summer Stage, as well as Master Classes (including Shakepseare, On Camera, Mask and more) and exciting Special Event Days!

Our Young Actors Camp will be fun-filled and action-packed! Campers will learn the fundamentals of what it takes to put together a musical theatre production. Using theatre games and exercises, students learn fundamental acting skills based on the Stanislavsky Technique and build confidence in themselves as actors while they rehearse and perform a final show!

Actors will take classes in all of the theatrical disciplines (acting technique, musical theatre, vocal production, singing, dance, movement for actors, Shakespeare, improv and more) Comprised of one six-week section, this Intensive will culminate in a two-act musical theatre production.
